El Morro castle in Puerto Rico

El Morro castle has many garitas, or sentry boxes, and a history that goes back to the early 1500's. i took this shot on a trip there for the Coast Guard to do some training. We had a great time and got some nice photos too. Photo by me taken May 29, 2008.

Dragon fly close-up

i used the macro on my 24-85mm to get this dragonfly on my clothes line. When i was trekking through the woods i took some photos of a few dragonflies, but i only had my 50mm on and couldn't get a good shot. i really want one with the dragon fly in flight. Maybe another day.
We went to Eli's friend's house to take his Christmas photo and this is what we ended up with. There are some other really cute ones, but i like this one the best. You can see the rest at Andy's Picasa Album
My cousin Kyle takes a ride with his brother Kody and their friend Jordan at Nags Head. They came up from Texas for a week long vacation. i had framed some of the photos better, but they just didn't have the expression. If you look at my settings you can see they really weren't going very fast.

Tina's dad got a new RC car for Christmas and had it up and running not long after. i would have taken pictures of my Wii, but that wouldn't be that fun of a picture. i'm going to shoot for the wheelie picture next. They can do more than 65 mph and wheelie in 2nd gear.
